NEW YORK, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks jumped on Tuesday with the Dow closing above the 30,000 mark for the first time.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 454.97 points, or 1.54 percent, to finish at 30,046.24.

The S&P 500 increased 57.82 points, or 1.62 percent, to 3,635.41. The Nasdaq Composite Index surged 156.15 points, or 1.31 percent, to 12,036.79. ■
