Toss Chennai Super Kings chose to bowl v Kolkata Knight Riders

MS Dhoni called heads correctly at the toss, choosing to chase as Chennai Super Kings looked to extend a three-match winning streak. Dhoni's stated reason was that it's difficult to contain batsmen "once they get going" in Kolkata.

Dhoni's side was unchanged from their chaotic last-ball win over Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, as the injured Dwayne Bravo continues to rehabilitate.

Knight Riders make three changes; captain Dinesh Karthik revealed Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine and Harry Gurney had all recovered after sitting out Friday's loss to Delhi Capitals with flu-like symptoms. Joe Denly, Carlos Brathwaite and Lockie Ferguson all return to the bench to make room.

Chennai Super Kings: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Faf du Plessis, 3 Suresh Raina, 4 Ambati Rayudu, 5 Kedar Jadhav, 6 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 Mitchell Santner, 9 Deepak Chahar, 10 Shardul Thakur, 11 Imran Tahir

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1 Chris Lynn, 2 Sunil Narine, 3 Robin Uthappa, 4 Nitish Rana, 5 Dinesh Karthik (capt & wk), 6 Shubman Gill, 7 Andre Russell, 8 Piyush Chawla, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 Harry Gurney, 11 Prasidh Krishna
