Sketch of suspects behind Mumbai blasts likely to be prepared by tonight: ATS chief
Calcutta News.Net Saturday 16th July, 2011
Ruling out the involvement of a suicide bomber in the serial blasts that rocked the financial capital of the country on Wednesday, Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Rakesh Maria today said the sketch of suspects behind the blasts is likely to be prepared by tonight.
"Investigations done so far and visit to the sites by forensic experts and investigators suggest that there was no suicide bomber. The experts have retrieved certain portions of metallic container which was used to store and carry the explosives," Times Now quoted Maria, as saying.
"We are in touch with UP, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal and Karnataka Police. We are examining all possibilities. Our teams have found out locations, they are being questioned by us," he added.
At least 19 persons have died and over 130 others are reported to have been injured.
The three serial blasts rocked Opera House at 6: 54 p.m., Zaveri Bazaar, a popular jewellery market, at 6: 55 p.m., and Kabutar Khana, Dadar at 7: 06 p.m. on July 13. (ANI)
