Euro confidence rose from March

Economic confidence in the euro zone has risen, compared to 30 months ago.
Confidence levels in the 16-member euro zone are now at the highest level since March 2008.
The EC’s main economic indicator climbed to 101.8 in August from 101.1 in July, with the UK registering the most significant gain.
While Germany saw a 1.1% improvement, employment levels in other countries were less pronounced, with Italy, Poland and the Netherlands reporting a decline.
The European Central Bank meets this Thursday and is widely expected to keep its main interest rate unchanged at 1 percent.
