Other drivers bear the costs for uninsured cars

Calcutta News.Net

Uninsured drivers in the UK are costing other motorists a lot of money.

Drivers who are uninsured cost other motorists £1.25bn every year.

The average UK driver pays about £50 extra on their premiums as a result of uninsurance risk.

Insurance companies have revealed the level of uninsured drivers is particularly high among young people and about one in every 20 cars are driven without any insurance.

The Automobile Association has calculated that the recent rise in premiums, over 12% was due to the rise in uninsured and fraudulent behavior, including claiming for non-existent personal injuries and providing false information.
