Jobless rate higher in Japan

Japan's unemployment rates have gone up, with consumer demand suffering as a result.

The Tokyo statistics bureau has put the jobless rate up from from April's 5.1 percent.

The statistics bureau has also issued industrial production figures, which also went down in May, prompting inventories to build up, especially from the US, Japan's biggest export market.
