Air Canada has announced it will fly to seven more American cities to strengthen its cross-border strategy.

The Canadian carrier, which has more daily flights between Canada and the US than any other airline, wants to speed Toronto's growth as a airline hub.

Air Canada management figures have indicated they want the Toronto hub to become the most convenient gateway to and from the US, with the new flights offering multiple connection options for Air Canada’s new international destinations.

The airline recently announced it would fly to Athens, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Brussels.

Air Canada’s new flight paths to the US will include: Orange County and San Diego; Portland; Memphis; Cincinnati; Portland and Syracuse.
