Ashwin Sundar sweeps honours in Formula Rolon class

Ashwin Sundar showcased his undoubted talent with a clean sweep of honours in the Formula Rolon class, first in heavy rains and then in dry weather, at the second round of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship here over the weekend.

Sundar was a class apart in winning the first race by a big margin while others struggled in conditions made tricky by rains Saturday. With rains holding off Sunday, Sundar yet again left the field to chase his shadow on a track that he is all too familiar with.

There was little excitement otherwise with veterans yet again coming to the fore in the Super Saloon car category where B. Vijay Kumar, the track owner, achieved a double.

In the LGB Swift class, a clutch of exclusions for overtaking under yellow flags Saturday saw Gautam Parekh winning the first race while Sudarshana Rao made it a start-to-finish affair in the second race this morning.
