High definition broadband hits the US

In the US, Netflix has teamed with LG Electronics to sell high-definition TV sets that stream Netflix videos directly from the Internet.
Netflix, which is best known for its online DVD rental service, has about 12,000 movies and TV shows which it streams over the Internet
The new service will be able to be seen on a high definition set or on a computer.
The DVD movies will be sent to the TV set through a computer or an increasing number of smaller devices.
LG broadband TVs will sell for $200 to $300 more than a regular HDTV set. Email this story to a friend
