Calcutta News.Net Sunday 4th January, 2009
An automatic parallel parking feature is to be installed in some luxury Lincoln models in the US.
Ford Motor Company has revealed the new element which will feature sensors mounted on the front and rear of the vehicle to guide it into a parking space.
When drivers wish to park their Lincoln, they will simply push a button to activate the system and cruise the street until their car finds a suitable parking space.
After the spot has been found, the Lincoln will automatically stop and guide the driver into the space.
Ford will include the parallel parking addition to compete with other offerings from luxury brands such as Toyota's Lexus.
