Ketamine tablets worth Rs.200 mn seized in Chennai

Nearly 200 kg of psychotropic drug Ketamine concealed in onion bags were seized from a container at a port here Tuesday, officials said.
Weighing 197.5 kg, the haul worth Rs.200 million is the biggest in India, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials told IANS.
The consignment, bound for Malaysia, was in the name of Vishwanathan who had given a local address, the officials said. The police are looking for the accused.
The banned drug besides helping addicts with a high is also used by terrorists to treat their wounded sans anaesthesia.
