Cheney ordered to preserve VP records
Calcutta News.Net Saturday 20th September, 2008
In the US, a federal judge has ordered Vice-President, Dick Cheney, to preserve the records from his time as vice president.
The decision has set back the Bush Administration, which has been attempting to change the definition of materials that must be safeguarded under by the Presidential Records Act.
US District Judge, Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, said the Bush administration's insistence on making the changes had heightened the court's concern about the safety of the documents.
A private group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, is suing Cheney to ensure that no presidential records are destroyed or mis-handled.
The lawsuit, which alleges that the Bush administration's actions have raised questions over whether the White House will turn over records created by Cheney and his staff to the National Archives.
Recently, lawyers for the Bush administration said they would only agree to a preservation order that tracked a narrowed interpretation of the Presidential Records Act.
Cheney's position is that his office is not part of the executive branch of government.

You cannot take it with you
There is one good thing about the mystery of life, that we all have to go sooner or later, but we can leave a good or bad reputation for others to judge us.
We can say: he was a good honest man, or we can say the opposite, at times in the silence of the night, I begin to think of all the people that I have met during my lifetime, and surely some have left a good impression upon me, but others have not.
Unfortunately I have not met this man called Cheney, but in according what has been written about him, surely this man does not leave a good impression on my mind, but then could it be that all of those that have written about are wrong?
These are the mystery of life, and one cannot judge from what others say, until he sees with his own eyes.

Judgement Day
He will be held accountable for his actions. If not by the court of law in his lifetime, he has to answer to God in hereafter. Regardless, he can’t run from the truth. It will be revealed.
