Leave the Danes alone, they are an honest and courageous people. The cartoons are the natural reaction to Islamic terrorism which is the consequence of Mohammed’s Koran. So it’s only normal to depict the prophet with a bomb in his turban with a short fuse. The cartoon portraying Mohammed telling newly arrived suicide bombers that they ran out of virgins in paradise is an excellent parody of his teachings.

Why so much ignorant hatred?

Surely we can learn to respect each other’s beliefs, and when we differ we can avoid the sort of sickening ignorant abuse I see in some of these entries? I am not a Muslim, but I have valued and wise Muslim friends, and I respect them. For goodness sake, lets start thinking in broader terms rather than a bunch of quarrelling schoolyard thugs. And to the evangelical Christian - keep your sermons for those who wish to hear them, and don’t use these columns for your own confused thinking.

Who are they that have the right to punish.

In this world we have freedom of expression, and each one of us has his concepts regarding religion and their ficticious characters, some believe and some do not believe.

I believe that those that believe should keep their beliefs for themselves, but they cannot force others to believe and respect what they believe, and there should be no such laws that prohibit a person from expressing what he does not believe in.

I do believe that religions and religious practice have too much power, and some of this power must be taken away from them, because they are inflicting upon others not to practice their freedom of expression, and free thinking, taking away at times people’s freedom of choice, and in most cases religions are so powerful that control entire governments with their mumbo jumbo that they practice upon the naive and gullible, and insulting the intelligence of free thinkers to practice their free thinking.

A person can make a personal design of any type of character, and under the copyright laws he can have it registered and published as he wishes, do these religions have their religious characters registered under the copyright laws, and are these copyright being inflinged by these Danish designers.
