Woman dies in freak accident in Noida
Calcutta News.Net Thursday 28th August, 2008 (IANS)
A twenty-one years old woman working in a factory in Noida died after striking her head against an electric pole while travelling in the company bus.
The accident occurred about 10.30 p.m. Wednesday in Sector-6 of Noida.
After completing her shift at Mothersons where she worked as operations assistant, Ambika Singh was returning to Delhi in the company bus, when she put her head out of the window and struck an electric pole, the police said.
Due to heavy traffic, the bus (DL-1T-C-1053) was going along the left edge of the road.
'Even though the bus was going at about 15-20 km, still the impact was too strong,' one of her colleagues said.
Ambika was rushed to the Kailash Hospital in Noida, where she was declared brought dead.
She belonged to Bameli in Almora district and was staying with her family at Vinod Nagar in east Delhi.
The post-mortem examination report revealed that she suffered severe skull fractures.
