Scandinavian air travel slows down
Calcutta News.Net Thursday 14th August, 2008
Scandinavian airline SAS has made a loss during the second quarter owing to the economic slowdown and high fuel prices.
The airline has said it will need to slash another 500 jobs and seven planes from its fleet to make up for the loss.
The company recorded a loss of US$65.4 million in the April-June period, down sharply from the previous quarter.
Sales however rose 8.7 percent.
