Animation film 'Ghotothkach' to be released on May 23

Mumbai, May 16 : Animation film 'Ghotothkach-Master of Magic' which is an international collaboration of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Philippines and India is all set to release on May 23.
Animation films in India are still in the nascent stage and 'Ghotothkach-Master of Magic' will be the first non-mythological to be released in the country.
This movie is co produced by Shemaroo Entertainment and Sun Animatics.
It is the second animation film from the stable of Shemaroo. Their first film that tasted the success at the box office was 'Bal Ganesha'.
The film 'Ghotothkach-Master of Magic' is directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, who is veteran in the film industry and world renowned for masterpieces like Pushpak, Appu Raja, Mayuri and Son of Aladdin.
There are eight foot tapping numbers catering to all ages in the film and prominent singers master Shravan, S.P. Balasubramanium, Chitra, Kalyani,hrinivasan and Shwetha have lent their voices to these songs. The lyrics of the film has been penned by Sameer.
The film 'Ghotothkach-Master of Magic' essays the story of 'Ghotothkach' or 'Ghattu' who is the prince of the forest and is blessed with extra-ordinary powers. He has loads of fun with his magical powers, but also uses them to protect everyone around him.
As a five year old, he rescues a baby elephant ' Gajju' which leads him to a life long friendship.
"Ghotothkach is a story of a prince and how he grows up, his childhood antics, his magical powers which he tends to use to be playful around to understand animals, " said Smita Maroo, producer of the movie.
In India, expectations are naturally high for 'Ghatothkach-Master of Magic'.
