Calcutta News.Net
Sunday 20th April, 2008

Automaker, Chrysler, is set to meet the goals set by its private equity owner Cerberus Capital Management this year.

Chief executive Bob Nardelli has said the company is still “on plan” despite the economic problems in the US.

He added that the No 3 US auto maker has tried to anticipate some of the economic headwinds ahead and the 'team is responding very well'.

Nardelli said that US light vehicle sales in 2008 are running at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of about 15.5 million to 15.6 million, which is in line with company's expectations.
