iPod defect could be dangerous

A possible defect in Apple’s iPod has been found in Japan after one of the popular digital music players reportedly started sparking while being charged.
Japanese product safety officials have said a defect in the lithium-ion battery is suspected in the iPod Nano.
Apple Japan has not commented on the alleged defect but has been instructed by authorities to find out the cause of what it has been categorised as a fire linked to the iPod.
Apple has been told it must report back to the government after making an assessment of the problem.
Lithium-ion batteries have been blamed for a series of blazes in laptops recently, resulting in massive global recalls. Email this story to a friend

Ive have an ipod nano ever since it came out, nothing like that ever happened to me

iPod defect couldbe dangerous
I have an iPod nano, it worked for the first couple of weeks but when i clicked the play button the apple symbol would come up stay on for about 7 seconds and it would go straight back to the main menu
