One killed in firing in south Delhi residence
Calcutta News.Net Saturday 6th October, 2007 (IANS)
An accountant was killed and a businessman critically injured after unidentified assailants barged into the latter's south Delhi residence and opened fire at them Saturday night.
According to police, the assailants first fired at Salim Hussain, 27, and his accountant K.C. Sethi and also attacked them with sharp knives in the residence-cum-office at N-115, Greater Kailash I around 9.00 p.m.
Sethi succumbed to bullet injuries on the spot, police said, adding Hussain received bullet injuries on chest and knife injuries on the right leg.
Hussain was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) and his condition was stated to be critical.
Police said Hussain, who runs an embroidery business, was attacked due to personal enmity.
'Initial investigations suggest that the firing could be a result of a monetary dispute. We have identified the assailants and have positive clues about their whereabouts. They will be arrested soon,' said Delhi Police spokesman Rajan Bhagat.
