Porsche may sue EU over new emissions laws

German sports car maker Porsche says it may take legal action if the EU pushes ahead with its proposed CO2 emissions limits.
Porsche and other European car companies have attacked a European Union plan that would cut average carbon dioxide emissions for new vehicles to 120 grams per kilometre by 2012, from around 160 grams at present.
Porsche believes its powerful cars would not meet the strict standards, and has called for each category to be assigned separate limits.
Cars produced by the group produce an average of 289 grams per kilometre.
