Bad taste Chrysler ad - burnt by animal lovers
Calcutta News.Net Friday 20th July, 2007 (BigNewsNetwork.com)
The Chrysler car company has apologised for an advertisement run on the Internet that shows a dog being electrocuted.
As the dog urinates on the car's wheel and goes up in flames, the Dodge Nitro advertisement ends with the line: 'charged with adrenaline.'
The advertisement was created by a company in the Netherlands which was hired to represent Chrysler's sales in the Dutch market.
Chrysler executives have pulled the ad and have apologised in a press release by saying the advertisement included 'inappropriate treatment of an animal in extremely bad taste.'
