Korean housewives reject U.S. beef
Calcutta News.Net Tuesday 12th June, 2007
A group of South Korean housewives will start monitoring sales of U.S. beef amid a campaign to get the government to halt recently resumed American beef imports.
South Korea shut its doors to American beef in December 2003 after a mad cow disease outbreak in the U.S.
It was partially reopened last year when South Korea agreed to import only boneless meat from cattle under 30 months old. .
Housewives throughout the country will routinely check stores to note whether U.S. beef is being sold.
The housewives will also launch campaigns to raise people's awareness of the risk of mad cow disease, and will demand the government halt meat imports.

Korean housewives reject U.S. beef
How about American housewives routinely go into stores in America, proudly offering multi-cultural cuisines and boycott Kimchi becuase it’s spicy flavor can be linked to stomach cancer?

Kimchi Imports?
Kimchi sold in the US is almost entirely made here. Usually there are a few manufacturers in each major city producing several types of Kimchi made from local ingredients.
Alas, you plan for vengeful boycotting will backfire on American companies. Why not go after Hyundai for their lousy cars (oh waitasec) or Daewoo (oops, they’re GM now), or Kia, or Samsung or LG, or any of the Korean products you don’t realize you’re buying. Maybe call Warren Buffett and ask him to divest Berkshire Hathaway from their S. Korean holdings!
