Calcutta News.Net
Friday 10th February, 2012

The capital is likely to get more Metro feeder buses with the urban development ministry proposing "augmenting" of the service.

"More feeder buses are likely to ply in the capital in 2-3 months as we have proposed the augmentation of bus services to both DMRC and Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC)," said Sudhir Krishna, secretary to the ministry.

Krishna told reporters that the ministry officials have held meetings with the DMRC and DTC officials on such service augmentation.

"We have had a few meetings with the officials in this regard and we will soon chalk out a plan on this," he said.

Operated by the DMRC, around 120 feeder buses ply on 15 routes in the capital ferrying commuters to various Metro stations.
